AYON's curtain-wall expertise featured in APT Bulletin
The Association for Preservation Technology International (APTi) published an article by Principal Angel Ayón and his former colleague Pamela Jerome. Titled "Can the 1960's Single Glazed Curtain Wall Be Saved?" the essay discusses the conservation of modern single-glazed curtain-wall buildings. The article springs from Mr. Ayón and Ms. Jerome's experience working together on the façade renovation of 60 Broad Street in Lower Manhattan. Columbia GSAPP Celebrates 50 years of Historic Preservation
Angel Ayón, AYON Studio's Principal, is a featured alumnus in a video by Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Columbia Historic Preservation Program. “What I’ve learned at Columbia has definitely had an impact in my professional career,” he says. “What you learn here…is really about the overall idea of what preservation is supposed to be about.” Check out the video here.
